He spent more than a decade as a hospitalist where he developed an integrative approach to geriatric care that combines the highest quality treatment with the most advanced therapies, methodologies, and medicines to provide the highest quality of life for his patients and their families.

About Michael Bishai, MD

Dr. Michael Bishai is a New York Physician and Patient’s Choice Award recipient affiliated with multiple hospitals on Long Island, including St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, good-samaritan-university-hospital and St. Joseph Hospital-Bethpage.

After receiving his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Rhode Island in exercise science and physical education, Dr. Michael Bishai moved West to attend the University of California San Diego and San Diego State University, respectively. There he studied, trained, and worked as a Physical Therapy assistant for a practice specializing in the rehabilitation of aging individuals. Witnessing firsthand the complexity of elder care and realizing the need for a more dynamic—compassionate, and collaborative approach to elder care treatment—Dr. Bishai decided to pursue a career in medicine.
